Is SMBC Right for You?
SMBC is looking to assist growth oriented companies that will bring jobs to the North Bay Region. We have a particular focus on Sustainable Resources and Socially Relevant technologies, but will definitely consider other growth oriented companies.
Ideally, we would like incubation candidates to answer “YES” to all five of the questions below, but if you can answer “YES” to at least three of the following questions, we would like to talk to you. You may qualify for the benefits of our incubation program. (This video describes many of our benefits.)
- Does your product/service address a significant problem in a large market?
- Do you have a sustainable competitive advantage? (patents, barriers to entry, …)
- Are you a growth oriented company targeting more than $5MM in annual revenue within the next five years?
- Will you be a net exporter of goods or services from the North Bay region?
- Do you have a written summary of the plan for your business? (A completed business plan is best, but a summary is acceptable.)
